marcjoseph biography

For twenty years, marcjoseph has been collecting exceptional vintage clothing from the past decades, with an emphasis on classic lines and designs made to flatter. Marc studied architecture at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California. While attending college, he became aware of good design by working for major stores such as Bullock’s Wilshire, Macy’s, and Brooks Brothers. During the 1990’s, he started with his father a furniture manufacturing company, using his design awareness to create handcrafted pieces which still are sold today in stores throughout the United States. His appreciation for fine aesthetics is evident in the interior design he has done for homes throughout Chicago and Milwaukee. Marc’s own vacation home in Wisconsin, designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, was published in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Marc believes exceptional design can be found in architecture, furnishings, and clothing.

Legendary designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, James Galanos, Chanel, Gucci, and so many more inspire today’s leading designers. The fine tailoring of these vintage garments is rarely seen now, except in the most exquisite couture clothing. This beautiful clothing has timeless appeal, and gives the wearer both confidence and compliments.

Some of Hollywood’s leading actresses have worn vintage marcjoseph clothing to film premieres and award shows. marcjoseph clothing has been purchased by museums, fashion archivists, and even some of the worlds most famous clothing designers.
